The Albino Pygmy Corydoras (Corydoras pygmaeus albino) is a rare and eye-catching variation of the beloved Pygmy Corydoras, prized for its creamy white body, pinkish eyes, and gentle personality. Combining the charming behavior of pygmy corys with the striking look of an albino fish, the Albino Pygmy Cory is perfect for nano tanks, planted aquariums, and peaceful community setups.

Derived from Corydoras pygmaeus, one of the smallest cory species, the Albino Pygmy Corydoras shares the same peaceful nature and unique swimming behavior. Unlike larger cory catfish, pygmy corys frequently swim in mid-water schools rather than staying strictly on the substrate. This albino variety is especially popular among aquascapers and nano tank enthusiasts looking for a bright, contrasting bottom-dweller that remains small and shrimp-safe.

A full-grown Albino Pygmy Corydoras reaches only 1–1.25 inches (2.5–3 cm), making it one of the smallest albino catfish available in the aquarium hobby. Its pale white to ivory body is complemented by translucent fins and distinctive pink or red eyes, giving it a soft, elegant appearance.

Albino Pygmy Corydoras are extremely peaceful, social schooling fish and should always be kept in groups of 6–10 or more. Larger groups encourage natural schooling behavior, reduce stress, and increase activity. Ideal Albino Pygmy Corydoras tank mates include: Nano tetras, Rasboras, Ember tetras, small gouramis, shrimp (Neocaridina & Caridina), snails, and other peaceful corydoras. Avoid aggressive or large fish that may intimidate them.

At Splashy Fish tropical fish store, our Albino Pygmy Corydoras for sale are raised with the utmost care. All our Corydoras species are tank-bred and acclimated for home aquariums, ensuring robust health and vibrant colors. Visit us to shop online or in person at aquarium in Virginia to explore our wide selection of high-quality freshwater fish.
