Splashy Fish

This is my first time ordering and most likely the last not for the plants but for the service and how they handle shipping. It took close to a month to get my order. In their defense one of my items was not good enough to ship when it came out of quarantine but I immediately responded with a substitute. I can’t say that for their support team. It took days and one time over a week to get a response from emails sent. I called the store once and was told online ordering is not their problem and they don’t handle it. It’s too bad because I was really eyeing their fish and other plants. I have 8 tanks, a 3000 gallon pond and a bog. They missed a huge opportunity.

You don't see many super small and colorful horned Nerite Snails. They're really cute!

There are uncommon and healthy selections of shrimp and fish. All of the employees are super helpful and kind. I've purchased Pygmy Cory and Strawberry/Phoenix Rasbora that all look super healthy. This is the only place I know in NOVA that has plant tissue culture.

Stuck one in my substrate, turned off the light and all of my Neocaridinas were on it a few hours later. 5/5

I had a fantastic experience with Splashy Fish. I specifically asked them to help me choose a strong swimmer with an interactive personality for my hex setup, and they absolutely nailed it.

Sassenach arrived healthy, active, alert, and full of personality. He immediately explored the entire tank, interacts constantly with me, and has even discovered bubble surfing already! His body structure is beautifully balanced — ornamental without being so overbred that he struggles to swim. You can tell real care went into selecting and raising this fish.

The acclimation instructions were extremely detailed and helpful, shipping was excellent, and it’s obvious they truly care about the health and condition of their fish before sending them out.

I would absolutely order from them again. Thank you for helping me find the perfect tiny emperor for my amethyst river tank. 💜🐟

3 months ago I bought a 17gal tank and supplies from Splashy Fish with a plan to set up a betta tank. My heavily planted (low tech) tank with 15 Ember tetras and 8 Pygmy Corys has been ready for some time but I have been waiting for a Hellboy star tailed HMPK. 2 weeks ago the store let me know there was a new shipment and I live close enough to dive and check out the Plakats. My only complaint was that it was too hard to choose just one betta! I knew I wanted a Hellboy star tailed halfmoon but there were 5 beautiful specimens. The fish I purchased is a beautiful healthy betta that is settling into his new surroundings.

I Love this store. Whenever Im in the area I stop in to see what they have in stock and almost always purchase.
