First visit today
My first visit today, this is the best aquarium store in Northern Virginia. So many kinds of shrimp, rasboras, plants, driftwood, etc. You can always tell when the business is run by enthusiasts, they are usually the best run.
Great experience
Went in last week to get some fish for my first tank. The staff was great and answered all of my questions and gave advice for my setup. I'm waiting a couple of weeks before I add my next stocking but will definitely return.
Unusual color. A good combination with the red cherry barb tetras I bought.

I got 6 Pygmy corydoras from here to add to the 3 I already have. They live in a tank with just blue dream shrimp and seem very happy. They have even started laying eggs! Hoping to spot some babies in a few weeks when they are big enough to spot in the tank.

I use Cholla wood for a few species of shrimp and they love hiding and climbing on it as well as eating it.
Great store for freshwater plants and fish
Great store for freshwater plants and fish. Got the first fish from them for my daughter's birthday. Redid the tank 6 weeks ago. With the help of Splashy Fish, I was able to get the tank back on track. I enjoy working with them to find the right fish and plants for the tank, and I look forward to returning there and continuing this project.
Vibrant and active
These little ones have me constantly staring at my tank to see what they’re up to. They are incredibly vibrant and very active - even straight out of the bag. They immediately went to work in my tank and are thriving.
Best spider wood in the area!
We have always had great success with the spider wood at Splashy fish! The peices are large and prices are reasonable.
