Racoon Tiger Shrimp (Caridina sp.) with its size less than 1 inch is absolutely a great candidate for nano aquariums.

The freshwater creature adorns its appearance by the tiny dots lying all over the transparent body and tiger-like black stripes rounding in the middle. Males tend to stay smaller and thinner than females. Racoon Tiger Shrimp are mostly found in small streams and surrounding flooded grassland and reeds in Asia. They are pleased to live in home aquariums having soft and slightly warm water with pH levels of 6-7.5. The species are not picky about decoration. Hence, you can freely create the aquascape to meet your expectations.

Racoon Tiger Shrimp can be kept in groups or with other small peaceful fishes. When housing them, remember to provide them a lot of space as they are very active swimmers.

The easygoing shrimp may not highlight your tank in the way other brilliant species do but you will find it pleasing whenever seeing them crawling around your tank.
